At Ashley's Food Delivery, we strive to operate in the most environmentally responsible manner. We recognize the heavy ecological footprint our food delivery service can leave and we're trying to tread a little lighter. We educate our drivers on how to reduce harmful vehicle emissions. We offer resources & tips to partner restaurants for eco-friendly disposable food packaging. And we offsett some of our impact by planting a tree for every order you place. Plant-a-Tree Program
Planting trees is the most cost-effective way to take harmful CO2 out of the atmosphere. With our Plant-a-Tree Program, for every order placed Ashley’s will plant a tree with Trees for the Future. That's over 12,000 trees planted each year - enough to sequester the annual carbon emissions of approximately 30 typical American cars, year after year. With your help, we've planted over 38,000 trees since 2009!
Paperless Transactions
In addition to planting trees, we're making an effort to save trees. As an eco-friendly alternative to our printed Menu Guide, we offer an Electronic Menu Guide on our website. Customers who access online menus and order online also receive an electronic receipt, providing an entirely paperless transaction.
Improved Fuel Economy
Vehicles emit harmful greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, leading to global climate change. We work to help our delivery professionals improve their vehicle’s fuel economy and reduce CO2 emissions through proper vehicle maintenance and efficient driving & delivery techniques. Our Driver Vehicle Fuel Economy Program includes an in-house Vehicle Maintenance Week each quarter.
Eco-Friendly Food Packaging
We're concerned about the long-lasting environmental impact of petreoleum-based take-out food packaging. As a first step in addressing this multi-faceted issue, Ashley's offers its partner restaurants information on the benefits of eco-friendly packaging, as well as resources for switching to compostable products made from renewable resources.
